Life is sweet in the King Valley.

Discover the Italian spirit of the King Valley’s winemaking families, at La Dolce Vita wine and food festival.

Italian style

Enjoy both new and museum release poured by the winemakers, along with prosecco popsicles and wine spritzes for fun. Salute!

Local flavour

From nonna’s gnocchi to delicious dishes from renowned chefs, the festival is the ultimate gourmet weekend with something for everyone. Buon appetito!

Fun for all

Much more than great food and wine, there’s live music and local produce markets for grown-ups, as well as face painting, fun and games galore for little ones.

Festival tickets $25pp. Children play free!

Festival tickets include access to participating wineries, entertainment, food available for purchase that you can't get at other times of the year, free tastings, and either a souvenir Spiegelau tasting glass (drinkers) or reusable water bottle (non-drinkers).

All revenue from ticket sales is invested into growing and developing the King Valley wine region.

Getting here

The Hume Freeway, the Maroondah and Midland Highways, and the Great Alpine Road feed into the region – the journey from Melbourne is a comfortable 3 hours, or 4 hours from Canberra. All roads leading to the region are sealed, and offer spectacular views.

Albury Airport facilitates daily flights between Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane, operated by Qantas Link, REX, Virgin Airlines and JETGO. All major rental car agencies are based at the airport. Wangaratta railway station is on the main Sydney-Melbourne rail link.

Staying here

If you'd like to stay in the valley and catch the shuttle bus around participating wineries, look for accomodation in Milawa, Oxley, Moyhu, Myrrhee, King Valley, Whitfield or Cheshunt, where you can walk to a participating winery and hop on the bus. This is a great option for families, so you can come and go from the festival as it suits the little ones. Or for big ones who want to stay and party on at Brown Brothers or Dal Zotto on Saturday evening!

Check out local options

Or, if you'd like to explore one of the other beautiful towns of the High Country when you visit, try Wangaratta, Albury, Wodonga, Beechworth, Bright, Myrtleford or Porepunkah, where you can make your way to the regional transfer bus station and be transported safely to and from the festival either day (or both!).
