Ample car parking available. This event is weather dependent.

Balloon Displays

From 4pm Sunday

In conjunction with the region's Weekend Fit for a King festival, balloons will be inflating on site at the following venues:

Dal Zotto Wines

King River Brewing

King River Estate

Politini Wines

Pick your vantage spot early, grab a glass of King Valley wine or craft beer, and enjoy the sight. If conditions are favourable, you will be able to jump in the balloon basket and get a taste of flight without leaving the ground - well, maybe just a little lift-off!

Experience the very best view of the King Valley Balloon Festival - get amongst it! Join festival partners Goldrush Ballooning to ascend with a mass of hot air balloons on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday morning.

You'll be thoroughly briefed by the balloon's pilot before takeoff, float over the valley with the festival ballooning participants, and celebrate the flight with a Prosecco breakfast at Brown Brothers upon your return.

Flights depart approximately 5am each day of the festival. Suitable ages 7 - 97. From $395 per person.

Brown Brothers Night Glow is a light, sound and taste spectacular like no other.

Local food stalls, ranging from coffee and CWA sweet treats, to Vietnamese dishes and fried chicken. Huge bar offering Brown Brothers wine, local beer and cider, as well as mulled wine. Live music, jumping castle and the spectacular balloon Night Glow event, where the balloons light up in a choreographed performance to music while tethered to the ground.

This is the largest hot air balloon Night Glow event in Victoria for 2019!

Saturday 8th June, 4pm - 8pm. $20pp includes souvenir GoVino wine tumbler for use at event bars. Children free.

We give the King Valley Balloon Festival pilots a fond King Valley farewell, with dinner and dancing.

Join the pilots at King River Brewing for starters and wood-fired pizza, and quench your thirst with a beer brewed on site. There will be live music, and the opportunity to chat with balloon pilots about the sport - or art - of hot air ballooning. If the festival events have ignited your enthusiasm, this is the perfect way to round out the weekend.

Sunday 9th June, 5pm - 8pm. Bookings required. $30pp includes starters, pizza and a beer.
