Wood Park Wines
Wood Park Wines’ owner and winemaker John Stokes first stomped on grapes in the 1980s, and has been following his passion for wine ever since.
Grapes are grown all around the King Valley to produce an extensive range of top quality wines. This includes Cabernet, Shiraz, Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Zinfandel, Petit Verdot, Viognier and Roussanne (grown in gravelly clay at Wood Park), Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris (from the King Valley’s south), Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc (grown at the high ridges of Myrrhee). Prosecco is sourced from the nearby Alpine Valleys Region and Chardonnay from Beechworth.
With the cellar door based at the Milawa Cheese precinct since 2002, Wood Park Wines is known for its friendly tasting experience and delicious, award-winning wines. James Halliday’s Wine Companion has rated Wood Park as a five-star winery for the past five years.
